He's always been a great dad. He's a pretty funny guy. Slightly embarrassing at times, but I think we've all mastered the whole 'pretending like we don't know him thing' when he gets to that stage! But we all still love him! He's a hard worker and a good Christian leader for our family. He is always there during football season to talk football with me and to go to a few Cowboys games. He's the one who took me to my first Cowboys game ever. I have great memories as a child from all the cool things he did with me, like the spontaneous quick trip to Canada and when he took me to see the 1996 Olympic gold medal gymnastics team perform.

I really couldn't ask for a better dad and I'm excited because my husband has a lot of the same traits he has (minus the whole embarrassing me in public thing), so I know my future children will also get a great dad. And if he spoils his future grandchildren like he spoils my dog, they'll also have a great grandfather, too!

Happy Birthday, Dad!
